Our Content Review Process
Last updated: June 4, 2026
Every guide, comparison, and how-to article on PDFFlow follows a structured review process before publication and an ongoing maintenance process after. This page documents exactly how we create and maintain content quality.
Technical Research
Day 1The author researches the specific topic — whether it's how to merge PDFs on a specific device, or comparing two competing tools — by performing the actual task multiple times on different browsers and devices. Only first-hand experience informs our guides.
Draft Creation
Day 1-2A draft is written capturing every step with exact button names, menu paths, and interface descriptions. Screenshots are taken of each critical step. The draft includes alternative methods and troubleshooting guidance for common problems encountered during research.
Technical Accuracy Review
Day 2-3A second team member independently performs every step in the guide from scratch, following only the written instructions without referring to the author's original process. Any step that does not produce the described result is flagged and corrected before proceeding.
Cross-Device Testing
Day 3For browser-based tool guides, the final instructions are verified on Chrome (Windows/Mac/Android), Safari (iPhone/Mac), and Firefox. For mobile-specific guides, the steps are tested on both iOS and Android. Any platform-specific differences are documented.
Publication & Scheduling
Day 3-4The verified content is published with author attribution, publication date, and review date clearly visible. A calendar reminder is set for 6-month re-review. If the tool interface changes significantly before the scheduled review, an earlier review is triggered.
Ongoing Maintenance Standards
✓ 6-Month Scheduled Reviews
All how-to guides are reviewed every 6 months to verify that interface changes have not invalidated instructions.
✓ Triggered Reviews on Updates
When PDFFlow releases significant interface changes, all affected guides are reviewed and updated within 14 days.
✓ Reader Correction Submissions
Readers can report inaccuracies at support@pdfflow.live. All reports are reviewed within 48 hours.
✓ Competitor Product Monitoring
Comparison pages are reviewed when competitors make significant pricing, feature, or policy changes.
Comparison Content Standards
When we compare PDFFlow to competitors, we follow strict standards to ensure fairness and accuracy. Every claimed advantage or disadvantage is based on current product behavior — we test the competitor tool ourselves rather than relying on their documentation alone. We acknowledge genuine competitor advantages (such as Adobe Acrobat Pro's industry-leading OCR) rather than presenting PDFFlow as superior in every category.
